A small, boutique College-Preparatory Studio for driven students age 7-19

 

Located in (mostly) sunny Santa Monica, Dr. SP's Pre-College StringWorks is for the dedicated young violin and viola student who wants achieve his or her musical goals.

Dr. SP's teaching methods are grounded in her belief in Sustainable String Technique: that all players can and should play pain-free and with the most ergonomic way possible. Her success speaks for itself: former students have gone on to receive scholarships to music conservatories, law schools and medical schools, and present students consistently place in All-State/CODA Orchestra festivals and sit in the principal chairs of their orchestras. 

 

Studio Classes and Recitals for all Pre-College students provides consistent exposure to performance opportunities, where young violinists and violists can learn from each other in a supportive collegial environment

 

Features of the Pre-College StringWorks Program: 30 or 60-minute Weekly Lessons, Monthly Studio Classes, Yearly Recitals, Sustainable String-Playing Technique.
